It has been rumored for a while, but now that the Arizona Cardinals have officially hired Jonathan Gannon as their next head coach, he has requested to interview Drew Petzing for his offensive coordinator. The current quarterbacks coach with the Cleveland Browns, Petzing interviewed for the same role with the Las Vegas Raiders a year ago before being promoted in-house from tight ends.
Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt has previously held the title of quarterbacks coach in the first two seasons under the Kevin Stefanski era. If Petzing is on the move to the desert, Van Pelt may be asked to take back that hat as well.
