Cardinals’ QB situation ranked 22nd in league

The Arizona Cardinals feel they are set at quarterback this season, having selected Kyler Murray first overall in the draft last month and traded last year’s No. 10 overall pick, Josh Rosen.

However, in Touchdown Wire’s rankings of all 32 NFL teams’ quarterback situation, the Cardinals come in only at No. 22, just ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals with Andy Dalton and just behind the Pittsburgh Steelers with Ben Roethlisberger.

Kyler Murray won the Heisman at Oklahoma. That changed many things in the quarterback’s life. Most importantly, it made him reconsider his signing with the Oakland Athletics, who drafted him in the first round of the MLB Draft. He opted for the NFL and became the No. 1 overall pick of the Arizona Cardinals.

Of course, this ranking might be affected by the fact that Murray’s backup is Brett Hundley, who has not proved himself to be a solid quarterback in the league.

This ranking might seem a little low, but if things go as the team expects them to with Murray, he will fly up the list. Everyone in the organization believes he is special.

The 2019 season might have some bumps, but he should prove himself to be one of the most promising young players in the game.
