Cardinals OL Desmond Harrison wanted on felony assault charges

Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Desmond Harrison, claimed by the team off waivers last month, is in some legal trouble in North Carolina. Greensboro police in North Carolina has a warrant for his arrest on felony charges of assault and strangulation.

Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski first reported it and Arizona Sports 98.7 FM confirmed it.

This doesn’t look good. Harrison is to report to training camp next week.

The team took a no-risk chance on Harrison after he was waived by the Cleveland Browns. He started the first eight games of the season at left tackle as an undrafted rookie in 2018 before being sent to the bench.

A very athletic lineman, he supposedly had concerns about his strength, work ethic and also showed up late to minicamp.

With these felony charges, it would not be a surprise if the Cardinals cut ties with him right away. After all, he is no lock for the roster and he has barely been here.

As of this publish, the team has not issued any statement.
