Cardiff City star sends fans heartfelt message as he says goodbye

Cardiff City loanee Harry Arter has posted a farewell message to fans as he gears up to return to parent club Bournemouth.

The Republic of Ireland international has become a firm favourite with fans since arriving on a season-long loan at the end of the summer, making 25 Premier League appearances this season.

Arter hasn't been involved in the first team since the 2-0 defeat at Burnley , picking up a calf injury in bizarre circumstances while leaving the field to be substituted at Turf Moor.

He's now unlikely to feature in Cardiff's final game of the season with Manchester United at Old Trafford, meaning he's likely to have already made his final appearance in a City shirt.

And he has now taken to Twitter to bid farewell to Bluebirds fans.

He wrote: "Thank you to everyone associated with Cardiff City, loved every minute and just disappointed we wasn’t able to stay up.

"Thanks for all your support throughout the year and I wish nothing but the best for the future."

Another man who also looks unlikely to play for Cardiff again is fellow loanee Victor Camarasa, with boss Neil Warnock confirming the Spaniard was still struggling with an injury picked up in the early stages of the defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend.

When asked on whether both players had played their final games for Cardiff, Warnock replied: “I would have thought so yes. We’re hoping Victor will be fit.

"It’s a nasty dead leg. I was gutted when he went off last week. He just looked back to himself that first 10 minutes.

"Whatever will be, will be and I’m sure he’s got a bright future ahead of him.

“We thank Harry for all of his efforts this season. Both of them have been really good signings.”
