Cardiff City in shock late move for Bristol City midfielder Marlon Pack

Cardiff City have launched a shock late bid for Marlon Pack.

The Sun's Alan Nixon claims that the Bluebirds are in the process of making a very, very late move for the Bristol City midfielder.

City have signed a number of midfielders this summer, meaning the 28-year-old's game time could be limited this season.

Yet a move to Severnside rivals Cardiff would come out of the blue.

Pack has been at City for six years after joining from Cheltenham Town in 2013 and has made over 250 appearances for the club.

He signed a three-year contract last summer, meaning he has two seasons left on his current deal.

Cardiff have developed a penchant for signing players linked to City in recent years.

After previously signing Lee Tomlin, the Bluebirds have also taken Bobby Reid and Aden Flint to the Wales capital in the last year - although centre-back Flint arrived via a season-long stint at Middlesbrough.
