Dublin shoppers ran into some trouble last night as a large number of card machines were out of action.
Card machine provider Opayo's system's went down, forcing many shops in the capital and around the country to only accept cash payment.
But there were some good Samaritans around in the capital last night to give a helping hand.

One woman was met with a random act of kindness from a stranger when she found herself in a spot of bother after the card machines went down.
She said on Facebook: "To the young guy who ended up paying for my snacks in SuperValu in Dalkey just now, as machine would not accept credit cards, thank you.
"You were gone went I went to ATM. Thank you again."
Another person said a shop employee "let me take my shopping without paying and just said pop in and fix up another time".
Shops that were effected included Supervalu, Centra and Applegreen.
The issue has been resolved and card machines are back up and running throughout the country.
