The draw for the Carabao Cup semi-finals was completed following the conclusion of Manchester United's game at Everton.
This week's round of quarter-final fixtures kicked off with Brentford's surprise win over Newcastle on Tuesday, before a rather more predictable result in the day's later game as Manchester City beat Arsenal 4-1 at the Emirates to pile further pressure onto former Blues assistant boss Mikel Arteta.
Stoke and Tottenham contested the third last-eight tie of the week, with Spurs emerging as 3-1 winners courtesy of goals from Gareth Bale, Ben Davies and Harry Kane, before United beat Everton 2-0.
Due to the congested nature of this season, the semi-finals will be one-legged affairs rather than two, with the team that is drawn first in each tie playing at home.
The games will be played during the week commencing January 4.
