Everton too are in the hat, having seen off Watford , while Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City defeated Burton Albion to book their spot in the last eight.

They were all joined on Wednesday night by Aston Villa, who defeated local rivals Wolves , Manchester United , who had two goals from Marcus Rashford to thank for a win over Chelsea , and Premier League leaders Liverpool .

Jurgen Klopp's men won an astonishing encounter against Arsenal at Anfield, the pair sharing 10 goals between them before being separated 5-4 on penalties.
