Car smashes into parked vehicle as fire crews and police attend

A car smashed into a parked vehicle on a Merseyside road injuring two people.

Police were called to Pilch Lane East in Huyton at around 8.45pm tonight to reports of a crash. It was discovered that a car had careened into a parked vehicle, leaving two people injured.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue service also attended the scene to secure the vehicles. The service said the occupants suffered from minor injuries.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Officers were called to the scene at around 8.45pm to reports of a road traffic collision. Fire crews also attended the scene. Only minor injuries were reported.

A Merseyside Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "The incident was a two vehicle road traffic collision with no significant injuries. The scene has been left with police, fire and rescue service were only called to make the scene and the vehicles safe.
