Car driven off busy road in crash

A person was treated by paramedics after their vehicle came off the road.

Fire crews from Avon Fire and Rescue were called to the scene of a one vehicle crash on New Road in Winscombe on Monday (May 11).

Crews from Winscombe, Blagdon and Weston fire stations attended.

On arrival, firefighters found a road traffic collision involving one vehicle which had left the road.

The vehicle was made safe by crews, and one casualty was walked from the vehicle by ambulance crews who were also in attendance at the incident.

Officers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary were also at the scene to assist.
