Car allegedly rams garda vehicle before being found flipped over in West Dublin

A car that allegedly rammed a garda vehicle was found flipped over shortly after it failed to stop in West Dublin.

Gardai are investigating after the car was found flipped over after being involved in a collision in the Bawnogue area of Clondalkin on Wednesday.

The same car had failed to stop for officers on Lindisfarne Avenue a short time before the crash and it's understood the car rammed a garda vehicle before driving away.

It was later located after being involved in a crash with another car.

The occupants fled the scene before gardai arrived with a spokesperson telling Dublin Live there were no reported injuries.

He said: "Gardai in Clondalkin attempted to stop a car at Lindisfarne Ave, Clondalkin today, Wednesday 23rd October 2019.

"A short time later this same car was involved in a two car collision nearby, the occupants of the car had fled the scene on arrival of the Gardaí .

"No injuries were reported and no arrests ,

Investigations are continuing."
