Canva AI assistant is now available to a much wider audience. Today, the company has announced that it now supports 16 additional languages beyond English. It includes Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
Canva AI was launched in April of this year, and it has already become one of the fastest-growing products from Canva. It allows users to generate designs simply by describing what they want through text or voice prompts.

Interestingly, the update goes beyond translation, as Canva says its AI has been localized with cultural intelligence, meaning it adapts designs to regional preferences. For example, when a user in Tokyo requests a presentation, then Canva will show them Japanese design sensibilities into account, while someone in Mumbai creating a festive poster will find visuals that reflect Indian traditions.
I think it’s a great update, because along with the new languages, users also get curated design preferences based on their localities and traditional references. This makes the experience more relevant and impactful for a global community of creators.
“Localisation isn’t just a feature, it’s fundamental to our mission,” Canva said in its announcement. “When creativity has no language barriers, empowering everyone to design becomes a reality.”
