'Can't download': NEET UG 2026 re-test admit card out, but students report crashes & refund verification mess; What NTA wants students to do now

The release of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination admit card has sparked frustration among thousands of medical aspirants, with many taking to social media to complain about website glitches, slow loading times and confusion surrounding the refund verification process.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made the admit cards available for candidates appearing in the NEET UG 2026 re-test scheduled for June 21. However, several students claim they are unable to access or download their hall tickets despite repeated attempts.

NTA Releases NEET UG 2026 Re-Test Admit Card

The NTA announced that admit cards for the June 21 re-examination are now available on the official NEET website. Candidates can log in using their application number, password and security pin to access the document.

Along with downloading the admit card, students are also being asked to verify their bank account details for a fee refund process, a step that has become a major source of confusion for many applicants.

Students Complain About Website Errors and Slow Servers

Shortly after the admit cards went live, social media platforms were flooded with complaints from candidates struggling to access the portal.

Many users reported long loading times, repeated session expirations and timeout errors while trying to complete the refund verification process or download their admit cards.

Several students said the website became unresponsive during crucial stages of the process, forcing them to log in multiple times.

Refund Verification Process Creates Confusion Among Candidates

Apart from technical glitches, students have also raised concerns about the refund verification feature introduced on the portal.

Some candidates claimed they had already submitted their bank account information but later found conflicting messages on the website. Others said they accidentally selected options indicating they did not require a refund and are now worried about missing out on reimbursement.

A number of aspirants have requested that NTA reopen the refund verification window or allow candidates to edit their submitted details.

NTA Responds to Concerns Raised by Aspirants

Responding to the growing complaints, NTA acknowledged that its servers were experiencing heavy traffic due to the large number of students accessing the portal simultaneously.

The agency stated that around 100,000 candidates had already downloaded their admit cards and assured students that technical teams were working to ensure smooth access for everyone.

According to NTA, the bank account verification process has been introduced in the interest of students to facilitate refunds efficiently.

Why Students Are Worried Ahead of the NEET UG Re-Examination

The timing of the technical issues has added to the stress of candidates preparing for one of India's most competitive entrance examinations.

Many students say they are already under pressure due to the upcoming exam and are now facing additional anxiety because of difficulties in obtaining their admit cards.

Several users on social media have urged NTA to improve server capacity, simplify the verification process and provide alternative methods of distributing admit cards.
