A man was spat at during a disturbance in Craigneuk.
Andrew McCrum appeared from custody via videolink at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
He admitted assaulting a man by spitting at him at an address in Laurel Drive on February 8.
McCrum, 31, also admitted possessing cannabis, shouting abuse, threatening police officers, and kicking and headbutting a police cell van.
He was on bail at the time.
Sentence on McCrum, formerly of Motherwell and now living in Cumbernauld, was deferred until March 9.
He was released on bail.
