Camelot theme park reopens for horror experience with zones of 'pure terror'

Camelot has announced it will reopen its iconic them park to introduce a terrifying horror experience for visitors.

Last year, the Charnock Richard site opened up for a Halloween-themed drive-through. However, now visitors are being invited to walk through the grounds on foot.

Manchester-based Park n Party are the brains behind the spooky attraction and they claim it will be the longest outdoor horror attraction in the world. The attraction will be split into 12 zones spread across a 2km trail with the organisers stating the two-hour experience will feature more scare actors than ever before.

Tickets are currently on sale for September and October with a standard entry listed at £20 with an upgraded option for £40 that includes free drink, VIP seating area and an exclusive gift.

A spokesperson for the event said: “Want to be scared out of your mind? Scare City is back – bigger, better, and bloodier than ever. Confront the fear of the unknown, as a 2km long trail leads victims through countless zones of pure, unadulterated terror. For the first time ever, this really is a city full of scares.

“Walk through a living nightmare as you pass through such depraved horrors as Knightmare Alley, the Forest of Fears, and Medieval Murder Zone. Do not fear – there are plenty more deliciously evil zones to meet your end in, as you attempt to survive a mile-long trek through the unknown.

“Complete with live actors to scare you witless, this 2-hour immersive experience is for those seeking the ultimate fair of scares. Experience the world’s longest outdoor horror attraction. Visit Scare City and prepare for an eternal stay. You’ll be lucky to make it out alive.”
