FRANCE 24 interviewed Kao Kim Hourn, Cambodia's minister delegate to Prime Minister Hun Sen, from the World Economic Forum in Davos. Hourn said he believes a full reconciliation with the US will occur. He affirmed that no Chinese military base has been established in Cambodia, and said that China does not dominate the country's economy despite owning most of its debt.

Although Hourn said Cambodia is concerned about the rise of energy and food prices, but said the country is less concerned with food security because of its rice production.

The US has announced an Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity that a dozen countries have already joined, including India and Japan. Hourn said Cambodia has not received a request to join the framework, but will study the possibility of joining later.

Hourn also stressed the need for a ceasefire in Myanmar for all sides in the current conflict.
