Callum Wilson backed to seal Tottenham transfer on one condition, Arkadiusz Milik makes choice

It looks set to be an interesting summer at Tottenham Hotspur.

Whilst the club seem unlikely to spend big as the financial impact of the coronavirus hits football, Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen his squad.

Spurs managed to qualify for the Europa League next season in a boost to the club's transfer pull.

With that in mind, here are this morning's Spurs transfer rumours.

Alasdair Gold's Spurs season debrief and the transfer window

United unlikely to sign Kane

Goal report that Manchester United have accepted they will not sign Harry Kane this summer.

Kane has long been admired by the Old Trafford hierarchy and there has been talk that Spurs' underwhelming season could well boost United's chances of landing him.

Yet Spurs value Kane at around £200m, which United are unwilling to go anywhere near with a bid.

With the likes of Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho also linked to Old Trafford, it is unlikely that they would be willing to shell out that sort of money on one single player this summer.

Milik blow

Spurs have been handed a blow with the news that Arkadiusz Milik would favour a move to Juventus.

The Napoli striker has just a year left on his contract so is likely to leave for a new club this summer, with Spurs having been linked to him along with Atletico Madrid.

Spurs are keen to sign a striker who can give reliable cover to Harry Kane but Calciomercato report that it is unlikely to be Milik.

The striker is said to prefer a move to Juventus, having already agreed personal terms with the Italian champions.

Wilson tipped on one condition

Michael Brown believes Spurs will sign Callum Wilson provided the Bournemouth star is willing to play out wide.

Following the Cherries' relegation to the Championship, Wilson is set to leave on a cut-price deal.

Spurs are said to be interested but Brown says he cannot see the striker willing to sit on the bench.

He told Football Insider: “If it’s for £10 million there will be a queue of people who will want to buy him. It all comes down to whether they need a second striker.

“If a striker is going to Spurs they need to ask if they are a wide forward because Harry Kane plays the number nine role.

“If you see someone who can play out wide in a three or they can play two up top because Callum Wilson will want to play, I can’t imagine him going to sit on the bench.”
