Iowa Hoops superstar Caitlin Clark made history by becoming the NCAA's all-time leading scorer in both women's and men's college basketball. Clark, who grew up playing in a boys league due to the absence of a girls league, showcased her exceptional talent and skill throughout her career.

During her final regular season home game on Senior Day in Iowa City, Clark was just 18 points shy of breaking Pete Maravich's all-time scoring record. With a sellout crowd in attendance, she put on a remarkable performance, finishing with 35 points as her number six Hawkeyes upset number two Ohio State 93 to 83.

The pivotal moment came just before halftime when Clark surpassed Maravich's record with a pair of free throws. Despite her individual achievement, Clark remained humble and focused on her team's success, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and camaraderie.

Following the game, Clark expressed gratitude for the support and recognition she received, highlighting her competitive spirit and the joy she finds in playing the game. She emphasized that she wants to be remembered not just for her records but for the positive impact she had on her teammates and the fun they shared together.

Clark's historic accomplishment garnered widespread attention, with notable figures like LeBron James, President Joe Biden, and Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan congratulating her on her achievement. The event drew a packed house, with standing room only tickets selling at a premium to witness history in the making.

Despite the magnitude of her record-breaking performance, Clark remained grounded and focused on her team's goals, exemplifying her selfless attitude and dedication to the sport. Her legacy as a basketball legend was solidified, leaving a lasting impression on fans and fellow athletes alike.
