C.J. Gardner-Johnson upgraded to full participation on Saints-Buccaneers injury report

There were just a few changes to Thursday’s updated New Orleans Saints injury report, with wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey (hamstring) upgraded to limited participation while defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson (toe) practiced fully after he was limited Wednesday. Every other player’s status remained the same, ranging from bookend tackles Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk (both non-participants while dealing with knee injuries) to defensive end Marcus Davenport (limited with a shoulder issue) and quarterback Taysom Hill (practicing fully despite his right finger).

Meanwhile, the only change for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was a new addition: quarterback Tom Brady (not injury related-rest) who was given the day off. The Buccaneers have been liberal in rest days this season, so this isn’t much of a surprise. But multiple starting defenders including safety Antoine Winfield (foot) and cornerbacks Jamel Dean (illness) and Richard Sherman (Achilles), as well as running back Leonard Fournette (ankle), remain out of action. Their status is worth monitoring on Friday’s final injury report.
