Buzzebees expects 40% growth in CRM platform

Ms Nattida and Mr Chen of Buzzebees Z-Through. The digital marketing platform represents 60 corporate brands.

Customer relationship management (CRM) privilege marketing platform Buzzebees expects to grow more than 40% this year, reaching 800 million baht on the strength of privilege campaigns that will help brands improve their customer response rate by up to 70%.

Buzzebees is the leading mobile CRM privilege platform, with 80% market share and 45 million users in Thailand, said Michael Chen, Buzzebees chief executive.

The company has more than 60 million impressions per month, with 1.2 million daily unique users.

Buzzebees' four core pillars are a privilege network, digital payment solutions, e-commerce and a digital marketing solution called Buzzebees Z-Through.

The clientele includes 60 corporate brands such as Samsung, SCB, Mead Johnson, Singha Drinking Water, Citibank, KBank and Krungthai AXA.

Buzzebees plans to achieve 800 million baht in revenue this year by signing up over 70 corporate partners, a rise from 40 companies last year.

Of its total 800 million baht, 700 million baht is from business-to-business transactions and 100 million baht from business-to-customer.

Buzzebees managing director Nattida Sanguansin said corporate brands spent just 5% of their marketing budgets for the privilege programme, and they mostly double the budget every year.

The company recently launched the Buzzebees Z-Through marketing solution, which lets brands offer personalised deals for customers.

Two corporate brands have adopted the Z-Through engine and have found customer respond rates improving up to 70% after six months of testing.

Costs to corporate brands for running the privilege programme vary from 150,000 baht to 10 million baht per project, Ms Nattida said.

"Our study found the privilege programme can boost customers to buy by more than 26 times," she said.

Tana Pothikamjorn, head of digital banking at Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), said the solution lets SCB gain customer loyalty and have better engagement with customers.

Tanapong Ittisakulchai, Microsoft Thailand's director of small and mid-market solutions and partners, said data is the natural resource of organisations, enabling corporate customers to get to the next level of customer engagement.

The Buzzebees staff can also work faster and more efficiently. Customers save on the cost of developing solutions themselves.

Buzzebees has expanded into seven countries, including Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Africa, Ghana, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
