Buy your own Glasgow nightclub for £285,000 as underground venue up for auction

Glasgow is famed for its nightlife and it's fair to say we have some of the best clubs in the country.

So we're sure plenty of people's interest will be piqued at the news that a city centre nightclub is up for auction for a guide price of just £285,000.

Swing is a unique nightlife experience based on Hope Street providing an exciting blend of live jazz, blues, soul and funk bands, aerial acrobats and breathtaking performance acts. The underground venue is known for transporting customers back to the roaring 1920s.

The description reads: "The property comprises a lower ground floor within a larger Category B listed building surmounted by a pitched roof.

"The property is accessed via a double door at street level leading to an internal staircase to the lower ground level. The area is split level with cellar and cloaks at the bottom of the staircase with the main bar, seating, stage, dressing rooms, office, w.c’s and sound booth accessed therefrom."

New owners won't have to spend a penny on Swing as it has just undergone a £250,000 renovation including tiled and timber floors, new lighting throughout, w.c’s venetian plastered walls, high level sound system and integrated light effects.

The club also boasts a 3am entertainment licence from Glasgow City Council Licensing Board. The property has a passing rent of £37,500 per year which will rise to £39,500 in July 2026.
