The First Bus has crashed into traffic lights and mounted a nearby pavement, according to the Glasgow Times.
The video captures commuters disembarking from the vehicle.
Police Scotland said the driver of the bus was taken to hospital, their condition is currently unknown.
A spokesperson for the force added: “The road is closed and officers remain at the scene.”
An eyewitness said: "I was standing at the bus stop facing the Ark bar, on North Frederick Street.
"The 57A was parked at the bus top I was standing at and it began rolling backwards towards the corner of Flight Club. It eventually came to a halt after crashing into the building and street signs.
"People came within inches of being run over by the bus. I helped usher people off the bus as quickly as possible, there were no injuries on the bus.
"I called 101 to let them know that I had called in an emergency and that I was leaving the scene to take my daughter to school."
Police Scotland and First Bus have been contacted for further information.
