A busy Ayr road was closed for six hours this morning following a serious crash in the early hours.
Police were called to Main Road at around 4.25am when the smash, involving three vehicles, brought the road to a standstill.
The incident involved a vehicle running into two parked cars.
One man was taken Ayr Hospital and the road was closed westbound.
The full road has now reopened.
A police spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash."
