Busted announce comeback tour after 20 years including Scottish dates

Busted have announced that they will be going on a 15-show tour and releasing a brand new album after announcing the news on social media.

The trio Matt Willis, 39, Charlie Simpson, 37, and James Bourne, 39, made many fan's day with the news that the band are getting back together for their 20th anniversary.

The tour will be kicking off this September, and will see the pals travel around the UK. They will be supported by Hanson, who are famous for their tune MMMBop.

A new album of updated versions of their iconic songs will be released to coincide with the tour and will feature other 2000s bands All Time Low and McFly.

And fans will be delighted to know that they can get their hands on tickets for the tour next week as they are going on sale at 9am on March 31, you can get them here.

Posting on Instagram, they wrote: "Tickets for our 20th Anniversary Greatest Hits tour with special guests @hanson go on sale next Friday 31st March. Check out the link in our bio to access pre sale. Loser Kid 2.0 featuring our friends @simpleplan will be out on the 14th April. A decade is a long time, two decades is an even longer time. We can’t wait to see you. #Busted20."

Speaking about their reunion, James said: "It's out of this world that we get to do this and we couldn't be more excited about it. It's going to be wicked.

Matt told The Sun : "Now it feels like it's meant to feel. It's like the very beginning all over again. Right now it feels like it's barely even begun."

Earlier this week, the trio teased fans with a cryptic post on Instagram, which suggested that they were reuniting.

They posted about an announcement on Thursday (March 23).

They shared a video on social media which hinted at something special to mark their 20th anniversary, with them having released their debut single and album back in 2002.

In the clip, a VHS cassette tape can be seen being inserted into a retro TV unit, the screen goes static before the band's logo appears on the screen as the video comes to a close.

The caption read: "23/03/23" and hints at the band's anniversary with the hashtag #Busted20.
