Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang inspected development of computing infrastructure in Beijing, Hebei and Inner Mongolia, urging stronger central planning. He emphasized advancing the construction and efficient use of a national integrated computing network to support high-quality economic growth.
Departure tax refunds upgraded
The Ministry of Commerce and five other departments issued a directive to optimize departure tax refund measures to boost inbound consumption. The steps include increasing the coverage of tax refund shops, optimizing “buy-and-refund” services and introducing paperless procedures.
U.S. reportedly suspends Iran oil sanctions
Iranian media reported that the U.S. has agreed to temporarily suspend oil sanctions against Iran during ongoing negotiations. Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson said Monday that Tehran had taken steps to ensure the security of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
