The Bulls are on the verge of offloading the contracts of Jose Calderon and Mike Dunleavy to have enough money to sign Dwyane Wade in free agency, league sources told the Tribune.
The Bulls have been in contact with Wade's representatives throughout Wednesday and have been given indications the 12-time All-Star will verbally agree with his hometown team if they clear enough cap space to meet his demands.
Wade's imminent acquisition would cap a wild offseason in which the Bulls traded Derrick Rose, lost Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol in free agency and added Wade and Rajon Rondo.
