April 21--The Bulls are 23-1 all-time in playoff series when grabbing a 2-0 lead. They get that opportunity in Monday's Game 2, which they played against the Bucks without Kirk Hinrich.
The Bulls' guard missed his second straight playoff game with the injury, which means Tony Snell again will get an opportunity in the rotation.
The Bulls expected a more physical contest from the Bucks.
"When you play a team over and over again that's usually what happens," coach Tom Thibodeau.
The Bulls enjoyed a large rebounding advantage in Game 1 and big offensive games from Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. When Pau Gasol scored a career-high 46 points in a January regular-season victory over the Bucks, Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd adjusted in future meetings and double-teamed Gasol on virtually every catch.
Do the Bulls expect Kidd to adjust more defensive attention onto Rose and Butler?
"That's sort of the nature of the league," Thibodeau said. "But when you have three primary scorers like we do, we can go a different way. All three of those guys have the responsibility of when the second defender comes, hit the open man. Make the right play. Make the winning play. We're fortunate we have three guys willing to do that."
Rose's big Game 1 featured the normally stoic guard showing emotion throughout.
"Not only did he play really well, but his spirit was huge for our team," Joakim Noah said.
