David Seaman believes Bukayo Saka's missed penalty at West Ham will be remembered as a "pivotal" moment if Arsenal fail to win the Premier League this season.
The Gunners raced into a two-nil lead at the London Stadium thanks to Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard before Said Benrahma's strike gave West Ham hope. However, Mikel Arteta's side were offered the chance to regain their two-goal advantage from the penalty spot moments after the break - but Saka fired wide.
That gave the Hammers some optimism to grab a point and they found an equaliser through Jarrod Bowen, who slotted home to earn a 2-2 draw in east London. It was a result that kept Arsenal top, however, four points ahead of Manchester City, although Pep Guardiola's men have a game in hand.
Ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Seaman, told his podcast: "You know what, the West Ham result feels worse than the Liverpool one. They were supposed to have learned their lessons from last week. That's what was really annoying.
"When you look at the defending for the penalty, I don't know what Gabriel Magalhaes was thinking. It's frustrating. Bukayo Saka's penalty is a deciding moment in the game. If we don't win the league, that will be remembered as a pivotal point. The first half an hour we were fantastic.
"But we didn't go up a gear, we went down a gear. We took our foot off the gas and it's disappointing, but it's still not over (the title race)."

There are still seven matches to go in Arsenal's pursuit of their first Premier League title in 19 years but will have to overcome a daunting-looking trip to the Etihad Stadium next Wednesday. The Gunners host Southampton, before making the trip to City, where they could go a mammoth 10 points clear at the top.
That would put them in pole position despite City's games in hand, with Guardiola's side also in FA Cup action this weekend against Sheffield United. Arsenal would have been eight points clear if they had beaten Liverpool and West Ham away from home - but instead took just two points from two matches.
When asked about the title race, Arteta said: "When I see a team playing with that flow [at the start of the game], that's not pressure. At 2-0 we were not under pressure. We just didn't do what the game required in that moment.
"We could not control what West Ham was proposing [after the first goal]. If you concede two or three goals away from home, it is very difficult to win football matches. We have to blame ourselves with how we played in our boxes."
