What’s Going To Happen
In the insanity that is the MAC race, this is an elimination game. Eastern Michigan is already 1-3 in the West with a massive hill to climb, but Buffalo is deep in the MAC East title hunt. Both teams at 4-4 have a whole lot to play for in what’s going to be a crowded bowl field from the MAC.
Buffalo’s offense might be a bit erratic, but the defense has kicked it in over the last few weeks and now leads the MAC. It’s a rock against the run, the O line isn’t giving up a thing in the backfield, and the team is leading the conference in time of possession.
Eastern Michigan has buckled, losing three of its last four games with no pass rush, no running game, and no third down stops. However, its return game is solid and UB has the nation’s worst punting game.
On the road, UB will get good enough play out of the lines to survive – the D will live behind the Eagle line.
