Have you ever dreamed of brushing shoulders with royalty? Well, thanks to a new job listing on LinkedIn you could just find yourself one step closer to achieving that goal.

The Royal Household has announced there is a position available on The Queen’s letter-writing team as an Assistant Correspondence Officer.

The successful applicant will help sift through the thousands of letters addressed to Her Majesty, 95, that get sent to the Royal Household every year – and you’ll also be the one who sends out a “well-composed response” to the mail.

A job description posted on LinkedIn reads: “It's drafting a letter that someone will never forget.

“It's working in a team with a shared and unique purpose, engaging with the public whilst supporting The Queen's role. This is what makes working for The Royal Household so exceptional.

“Thousands of letters addressed to the Royal Household are received each year. Working as part of the Correspondence Unit, your challenge will be to ensure that each and every one receives a timely and well-composed response.”

The job also requires the new employee to record and monitor all correspondence and you must also have the knowledge required to answer the “unique queries” that members of the public often ask.

The description continues: “Every day you will respond to letters sent by the public in answer to various and often unique queries as well as general messages of good wishes.

“Recording and monitoring all correspondence, you'll be proud of the number of letters you respond to, which will drive you to deliver consistently high standards.

“In this way, you will help to support the important work of the Royal Household.”

The position will be based at Buckingham Palace but there is currently no salary information available on the advert.
