BTS star J-Hope falls during live Grammy Awards performance but makes 'smooth' recovery

BTS star J-Hope fell as the band took to the stage at the Grammy Awards tonight.

The popular boy band - which includes members J-Hope, V, Suga, Jimin, Jungkook and RM - took to the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas this evening, where they wowed the audience in the arena and those watching at home as they performed their hit track Butter.

There was some doubt that the band would have been able to make it to the Grammys after a number of positive Covid tests, but the group got the all clear and managed to make it for the show.

However, eagle eyed fans spotted a bit of a slip-up from one of the band members as they performed.

In the clip, J-Hope can be seen nearly tripping as he makes his way towards the stairs. He is in full view of the cameras, before he manages to recover himself and continue on with the performance.

On the red carpet tonight, the group discussed being nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.

"You know, it’s an award voted by the peers in the music industry so that means even so much. And, you know, these two years were so exhausting and devastating. And if we get Grammys, it’ll all pay off," RM told E! News about their nomination.

"We would like to inform you that BTS member Jungkook has made a full recovery from Covid-19 and his quarantine has concluded as of Saturday, April 2 (PT)," Big Hit Music said at the time, "Jungkook has been under self-quarantine and administering self-treatment since last Sunday, March 27 (PT), and in accordance with the guidelines of health authorities in the United States, Jungkook can resume his daily activities from today [April 2].

"He experienced a slight sore throat during the quarantine but he has made a recovery from it. Upon conclusion of the quarantine, Jungkook took a rapid antigen test in the United States to join the schedule for the Grammy Awards. The result came back negative, and the awards organizer has approved of his Grammy Awards participation."

J-Hope was the last to make it to the Grammys, arriving in Las Vegas on April 3 just ahead of their performance.
