BTS comeback album hits new record for K-pop

BTS
  • K-pop group BTS has become the first K-pop act to top the US Billboard 200 albums chart for two consecutive weeks with their latest album, Arirang.
  • Arirang is the group's first studio album released since their 2022 hiatus, during which members completed South Korea’s mandatory military service.
  • The album debuted with 641,000 equivalent album units, including 532,000 pure album sales, marking the largest sales week for a group in over a decade.
  • Arirang also secured the No 1 spot on the Official Albums Chart in the UK and the ARIA Albums Chart in Australia.
  • Following a free outdoor concert in Seoul, BTS is scheduled to commence an 82-concert world tour across 34 cities, running until March 2027.
