Bryan Boylan fired Auchinleck Talbot to victory over their bitter rivals – then insisted match-winning moments in football don't get any better.
The never-say-die Beechwood Park boys claimed the local bragging rights after recovering from a two-goal deficit on Saturday to beat Cumnock 3-2.
Greg Ferry's early opener and a Finlay Frye penalty had the home side cruising at the interval.
However, goals from Keir Samson, Mark Shankland from the spot and Boylan turned the tie on its head at Townhead Park.
The result leaves Talbot four points clear at the top of the West of Scotland League Premier Division with 'Nock stuck in mid-table.
And supersub Boylan was delighted to climb off the bench and seal a stunning comeback.
He said: "That's the first time I've scored the winner in a Nock-Bot derby and it was a great feeling.
"We weren't in a good position and chasing the game so when you get on you just want to try and give the players as much of a lift as you can.
"It's worked out in my favour that we've got the two goals and I've scored the winner.
"The feeling was brilliant. It's up there with one of the best feelings I've had on the park. Nothing will take the smile off my face for scoring the winning goal."
Boylan admitted there was no margin for error when the ball came in from the right flank with noisy Talbot fans packed behind the goal.
"It actually puts a wee bit more pressure on you when the ball's coming in because you know that you need to hit the back of the net," he smiled.
"For me, it was about keeping my eye on the ball, making sure I got a contact and hopefully it hitting the back of the net. Thankfully it did.
"The fans are like a 12th Man. When they are on your side, it definitely does spur you on. I always knew if we got a goal, we had a chance of getting another one.
"We're always capable of going on and scoring a winning goal. Talbot will fight to the end in every game."
Talbot continue their quest for promotion this Saturday when they head to South Lanarkshire for a date with Blantyre Victoria while Cumnock have another East Ayrshire derby – this time at big hitters Darvel.
