Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has lambasted the performance of his teammates following the Red Devils humiliation at the hands of Watford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's men were convincingly beaten by Claudio Ranieri 's newly-promoted outfit, shipping four goals - two coming either side of Donny van de Beek' s first strike of the season.
The afternoon was to get worse for United after the full-time whistle, when Fernandes was spotted embroiled in a heated exchange with his own fans as the players made their way to the away end.
Solskjaer strode towards the United faithful that made the trip to Vicarage Road to issue an apology for what they had witnessed, but the Norwegian's efforts were met with jeers and crude gestures from fans.

Fulfilling his media duties after the game, Fernandes explained to beIN Sport : "We did that [played well], but not enough - only for one half.
"These kind of games, in the Premier League, it is not enough to play for just one half, Watford are a good team they are aggressive, they have quality up front and if you give them chances you will concede goals - that's the biggest problem for us for many games."
The 27-year-old went on to bemoan the attitude of his teammates for their first-half display, claiming: "I think the attitude in the second half was there but in the first half it was too sloppy from everyone.
"We don't go on the front foot, we don't try to, we don't tackle, we don't win our duels and against these teams you have to try and keep the same intensity as them.
"After, you must show your quality and show why you play for Man Utd."
The defeat inevitably sparks further speculation over the future of Solskjaer, with United's hierarchy reportedly holding a virtual meeting this evening to discuss the idea of sacking him just four months after handing him a new contract.
Fernandes was grilled over his thoughts on fans running out of patience with the manager, revealing: "it is everyone's fault, it's not the coach, it's not one player or two - it's everyone.
"Everyone has to take the responsibility because everyone has to do better, not one of us can say 'oh I'm doing well', no."
Many of the United faithful have seemingly to have come to the end of their tether with their boss given the recent run of form suggesting he is not up to the task.
