Bruno Fernandes details Ole Gunnar Solskjaer disagreement after half-time substitution

Bruno Fernandes has admitted that he was "not satisfied" with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to replace him at half-time of the 6-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

But the Portuguese midfielder has denied that he is not currently seeing eye to eye with the Manchester United boss.

Fernandes was replaced at the break against Spurs with United losing 4-1 and down to 10 men following a red card for Anthony Martial.

The international break has brought several reports of Fernandes being unhappy with that decision, and hitting out at Solskjaer and his tactics.

Speaking after Portugal's 3-0 win over Sweden on Wednesday though, the former Sporting Lisbon midfielder insisted that thing have been blown out of proportion.

"There's been a lot of speculation about that," Fernandes told reporters, via A Bola.

"First it was a discussion with team-mates, as it did not stick, it was a discussion with only one team-mate [Victor Lindelof in the Europa League semi-final], as it did not stick now, it is the discussion with Solskjaer.

"I believe it is a way to destabilise the group. What was said is in no way true.

"I was replaced at half-time, it is true, by technical option. The coach told me that the game was almost over and that we would have a lot of games ahead of us. Got it.

"I was not satisfied but said nothing that could harm the group."

Fernandes then went even further, and insisted that the club's players are simply focusing on bouncing back in their next game away at Newcastle on Saturday evening.

"Do not use my name, my colleagues or the coach to make trouble at Manchester United," he said.

"The atmosphere is good and the team is ready to give an answer in the next game."
