Bruce Willis returns to Die Hard's Nakatomi Plaza for first time in 34 years

Bruce Willis returned to Die Hard's Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles after 34 years.

The actor played John McClane in the 1988 action movie and, after many decades, he returned to the iconic building.

His wife Emma Heming Willis took to her Instagram to share a black-and-white clip of the rooftop.

She walked across the floor before reaching Bruce, who was leaning on a rail as he enjoyed the sights of LA.

"Nakatomi Plaza 34 years later #happymovieanniversary #diehard @20thcenturystudios," she captioned the post.

The clip then cut to scenes from Die Hard with Ode to Joy from Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 playing over the clip.

Fans were loving the amazing moment and took to the comment section to share their memories of the movie.

"Can’t believe I was 13 and he was my idol…Bruce still is my #1 forever. I’ve watch every movie and even have his cassette tape “UNDER THE BOARDWALK," one user said.

Another posted: "Goodness your hubby is adorable! I remember watching him way back in the day on moonlighting. God bless you guys!"

"Greatest Non-Christmas/Christmas-themed action movie ever!" a follower commented.

One fan added: "My favorite movie! I love him! Happy 34 years!"

It comes several months after he quit his acting career after discovering he has aphasia, a condition which has affected his cognitive abilities.

Disclosing the news to fans on social media, the Willis family said it had been a “really challenging time” for them and thanked fans for their “continued love, compassion and support”.

“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” a statement shared on Instagram read.

“As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.

“This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support.

“We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.

“As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up’ and together we plan to do just that.”
