Shedeur Sanders is getting another shot.
As first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Browns are naming Sanders their starting quarterback ahead of their Week 13 game against the 49ers.
“After the rookie fifth-rounder impressed with a 209-yard passing day with a TD, he gets another start,” Rapoport added.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski later confirmed the news.

“Shedeur will start this week,” he told reporters at his Monday afternoon press conference. “Obviously, No. 1 job at quarterback is to win, so excited to get that first win under his belt. And then next thing is improvement, and that's what young players do, certainly young quarterbacks do. You get one game better and that's just from working at it. So that'll be our focus."
Stefanski was then asked if he’s taking a week-to-week approach at quarterback, given that Dillion Gabriel is now healthy after having cleared concussion protocol.
“I’m just going to focus on this week,” the coach said.
Sanders went 11-for-20 passing for 209 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against Las Vegas in a performance that included a 53-yard dime to Isaiah Bond—leaving Myles Garrett stunned.
The Browns will welcome the 49ers to Cleveland’s Huntington Bank Field this coming Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
