Browns Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to return to practice Friday

While the Cleveland Browns are hopeful that they will have a majority of their players back from the reserve/COVID-19 list, Thursday popped up another concern. Rookie LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was unable to practice on Thursday due to what was called a “non-COVID illness.

This raised concerns for many as DE Jadeveon Clowney was also said to have “non-COVID related illness” a few weeks back before testing positive and missing time on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Owusu-Koramoah’s speed and instincts have been key for the Browns defense this year.

Thankfully, head coach Kevin Stefanski announced that the rookie linebacker would return to practice on Friday. Earlier in media sessions, defensive coordinator Joe Woods reported Owusu-Koramoah was in virtual meetings that morning as well.

As long as his illness doesn’t linger in a way that impacts his play Monday, Cleveland fans are thankful for yesterday’s scare being a non-story in the end.
