Browns announce CB Howard Wilson is released along with Derrick Kindred and Ricardo Louis

Add another name to the list of freshly released Cleveland Browns, and this time it’s official. The Browns announced in a press release they have released cornerback Howard Wilson.

The team also confirmed earlier reports that both safety Derrick Kindred and wide receiver Ricardo Louis are being waived.

Wilson never suited up for the Browns in a regular-season game. The fourth-round pick in 2017 out of Houston suffered a major knee injury in offseason workouts leading into his rookie campaign.

Releasing Wilson with two years left on his contract will cost the Browns just over $300,000 in dead salary cap money. He is subject to the waiver process, so another team may claim him and his contract.
