Brooklyn Beckham ‘cuts contact’ with David and Victoria as family tensions escalate

Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly stopped speaking to his parents David and Victoria as a long-running family feud reaches a new low.

The 26-year-old, who has pursued a career in modelling and media, is said to have shunned his father's recent 50th birthday celebrations amid tensions reportedly sparked by his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.

Brooklyn married Nicola in 2022, and insiders have long speculated that her strained relationship with the Beckham family has played a key role in the ongoing rift.

Sources close to the family told the Daily Mail that David and Victoria Beckham remain eager to reconcile with their eldest son, but he has shown no interest in repairing the relationship.

“There has been no call, no contact, nothing," a source said. "As parents, David and Victoria are concerned for their son and they have tried to get in touch but he isn’t interested.

“David even tried through social media last Monday because he fears that his son won’t know that he and Victoria love him so dearly otherwise.

“It is a terribly sad situation. They just want him to know that they are there for him when he’s ready to talk to them but he simply doesn’t seem very interested at all.

“Nicola must be behind this, she has been driving this wedge for some years now.”

Brooklyn was noticeably absent from both his father’s lavish London birthday bash and a boys’ fishing trip in the Cotswolds with his brothers Romeo and Cruz.

In the wake of the snubs, David and Victoria are said to have worked hard behind the scenes to de-escalate tensions and bring their son back into the fold. However, the family row has now spilled onto social media, where friends of Nicola have reportedly criticised the Beckhams — further fuelling the fallout.

Nicola has said the couple chose to skip the family events because they feel uncomfortable around Romeo’s new girlfriend Kim Turnbull, who is rumoured to have dated Brooklyn in the past.

Friends close to Nicola have also made claims about how the Beckhams treat their children, while critics have accused her of manipulating Brooklyn and intentionally isolating him from his family.

Tensions between Nicola and Victoria have simmered since the wedding, when Nicola opted to wear a Valentino gown instead of one designed by her mother-in-law. Sources say the incident marked the start of ongoing friction.

“Things never really got smoothed over, and you can tell it still affects everyone,” a source told Us Weekly. “The tension is still present and it’s hard for Brooklyn at times. Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it, he’s super stubborn and just wants space from his family right now.”

A long-standing family friend told the Mail on Sunday: “The view is that Victoria thinks Nicola is a narcissist.

“Nicola has love-bombed Brooklyn since the day they met and has tried to convince him that she is all he needs, and then she has cut him off from his family.

“Victoria thinks that Nicola has used Brooklyn for all she can get to elevate herself and that has really worked for her – she’s a Beckham now. Victoria absolutely loves her son – she always will.

“But with Nicola it’s an entirely different story. She despises her, she tried her best to make up after the wedding row but this time it all seems extremely unlikely. Victoria has had enough.”

Friends of the family have also expressed concern for the wider impact of the rift, particularly on Brooklyn’s 13-year-old sister Harper, who is said to feel her brother’s absence at family gatherings.

Nicola had reportedly formed a close bond with Harper and enjoyed playing a big sister role — but has not seen her since last December.
