Brooklyn Beckham has marked five years since proposing to Nicola Peltz with a heartfelt message on Instagram, calling it the “best decision” he’s ever made.
The 26-year-old, who married the actress and model in April 2022, shared a photo of the couple in a warm embrace, with him kissing her on the cheek.
“It’s been 5 years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me xx best decision ever x I love you so much,” he wrote alongside the image.
The eldest son of Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham, announced the engagement back in July 2020, posting at the time: “Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes.
“I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day [heart emoji] I love you baby xx (sic)”.
Nicola echoed the sentiment in her own message at the time, saying: “You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby (sic)”.
The couple’s milestone comes as ongoing reports that of a strained relationship between Brooklyn and his famous family.
While the Beckhams have not publicly addressed the speculation, fans have noted a lack of recent public interaction between Brooklyn and his family.
Last week it was reported that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola purchased a £10.5 million mansion in Los Angeles.
The couple, who had been renting in the area, are said to have exchanged on the Hollywood property recently.
The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home features a cinema room, home gym, and an infinity pool.
According to reports, the decision to buy reflects Brooklyn’s long-term plans to remain in the US, where his wife’s family is based.
Sources said therefore there is little chance of Brooklyn returning to the UK, and reuniting with his parents, anytime soon.
A source told The Sun: “Brooklyn's wife is American, as are her family whom he adores, and he feels his life now is Stateside.

“As an influencer he can work from anywhere but Brooklyn believes he has more opportunities in LA. It will be a dagger to the heart for his parents.”
They added that hopes of Brooklyn returning to the UK have now been “quashed”.
“Until now, the couple have always been renting so there was hope his relocation wouldn't be permanent. This house purchase quashes any last hopes.”
The couple’s latest milestone follows mounting speculation over a reported rift between Brooklyn and his family, which came to a head after he and Nicola were absent from all of Sir David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations last month.
Despite the absence, Sir David appeared to extend an olive branch in a heartfelt Father’s Day message on Instagram, sharing a series of family photos and writing: “I will always be here for you no matter what.”
Brooklyn, however, did not publicly acknowledge the post.
