Brooklyn Beckham’s wife Nicola Peltz has shared a moving post hours after they missed his father David’s 50th birthday celebrations.
David Beckham threw a lavish, star-studded dinner and drinks at the three Michelin-star restaurant Core in Kensington, London, on Saturday night after early birthday celebrations in Paris and the Cotswolds earlier this week.
Victoria Beckham and her and David’s children Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, were all at the milestone bash on Saturday, as well as the pre-birthday festivities.
However, Brooklyn and Nicola failed to appear at any of the birthday events or wish David a happy birthday on social media.
The couple - who tied the knot in 2022 - spent several days in London earlier this week but are believed to have flown back to the US on Saturday, just hours before David’s party.
Amid increasing speculation about a rift in the family, Nicola shared an emotional post about “core family memories” as she reflected on the deaths of her grandmothers, Bunny and Gina.
The actress, 30, was very close to Bunny, who died in May 2024 aged 95, and Ginny, who passed away in January 2020.
Sharing photos with them, she wrote: “In life we have core memories and this is one of my most favorite days i've ever lived. They were my best friends, there wasn't a day i wasn't with them.
“To my naunni and my gina i can't fathom the thought of not being able to hug you or hear your laugh right now - i just miss you both so much.
“The farther i get from the day you left earth scares me because i feel like i get farther from you. i remember this day so clearly, i got us all matching dior fancy sneakers and i was so proud to match you both this whole summer.
“The derby is today and i will never forget watching it on tv with you both every year. i love you both more than anything and think of you every second. i hope you're together right now looking after me and i hope i see you soon.”
Nicola concluded: “To my forever soulmates i more than love you because the word love doesn't touch how you have made me feel growing up. i felt more than loved and that is what i feel for you both, more than love.”
Just hours later, her mother-in-law Victoria shared her own Instagram post about family “memories” as she shared snaps from David’s birthday week with Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
“Creating special memories with family and friends. We love you all @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven xx,” the designer wrote, making no mention of Brooklyn in the caption.
Tensions between the Beckhams reportedly arose after Brooklyn and Romeo, 22, stopped speaking, following Romeo's relationship with Kim Turnbull - who previously dated Brooklyn's friend Rocco Ritchie.
Brooklyn is said to be suspicious of Kim’s reasons for dating Romeo, with TMZ claiming Brooklyn and Nicola now refuse to attend any family event where Kim is present.
Brooklyn failed to attend Victoria’s 51st birthday last month and similarly, neither David nor Victoria posted congratulations online as Brooklyn and Nicola marked their third wedding anniversary.
