Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding DJ has fuelled the escalating Beckham family feud by jokingly comparing Victoria Beckham’s alleged “inappropriate” dancing at her son’s wedding to a notorious Motherland scene, insisting: “It’s true, I was there.”
DJ Fat Tony, who performed a late-night set at Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz’s lavish Florida wedding in April 2022, shared a clip of Lucy Punch’s character Amanda dancing wildly in the BBC sitcom Motherland, captioning it: “POV: Victoria Beckham during Brooklyn’s first dance.”
He added: “Actual video footage. It’s true, I was there!”
The post poked fun at Brooklyn’s recent claims that his mother “hijacked” what was meant to be his romantic first dance with Nicola, leaving him feeling “humiliated” and “uncomfortable”.
Tony’s partner, Stavros Agapiou, initially went further, directly backing Brooklyn’s version of events in a now-deleted Instagram comment.
“I was there and she did. He’s telling the truth,” Stavros wrote, before later replacing the comment with a more measured message: “Good on him for finally speaking out!”
However, following backlash and teasing from friends over his explosive intervention, Stavros appeared to retreat from the row altogether.
Referencing the fallout, he shared a shirtless selfie on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, captioning it: “Keeping my mouth shut from now on,” followed by a crying with laughter emoji.

Brooklyn’s claims have reignited intense scrutiny of his high-profile wedding, after he alleged his mother danced “very inappropriately” with him in front of guests, prompting Nicola to flee the reception in tears.
Sources have given conflicting accounts. Some insist Victoria was simply “tipsy and having fun”, while others allege the moment deeply upset Nicola, who felt upstaged on her wedding day.
Fans have since clamoured to see the footage at the centre of the controversy, but it is unlikely to ever emerge.
The couple famously enforced a strict no-phones policy at their wedding, requiring guests to lock devices away in secure pouches and use basic flip phones instead. As a result, Brooklyn and Nicola retain exclusive control over all official footage from the day.
That has only fuelled online speculation, with memes imagining Victoria’s “inappropriate” dance spreading rapidly across social media.
However, questions have also been raised about Brooklyn’s account of events. Vogue previously reported that the couple’s official first dance took place earlier in the evening, and that Brooklyn later invited his mother onto the dancefloor during a separate performance by Marc Anthony. This appears to contradict his recent claims.
