Brooklyn Beckham's birthday tribute to father-in-law intensifies family rift after snubbing dad David's 50th

Brooklyn Beckham has publicly marked his billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz’s birthday while continuing to stay silent on his own parents’ recent milestones.

The 26-year-old posted a warm message to wife Nicola’s billionaire father on Tuesday, writing: “Happy birthday Nelson x We love you,” alongside a photo of the trio.

The post comes amid reports of a widening rift between Brooklyn and his parents, Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham.

Brooklyn first raised eyebrows when he missed Sir David’s star-studded 50th birthday celebration Core in Notting Hill in May, despite reportedly being in London at the time.

The hot sauce entrepreneur also a skipped several key celebrations, including the Beckham family’s party in the Cotswolds, a getaway to France, and a boys-only fishing trip to Scotland.

He and his wife also failed to publicly mark either of his parents’ birthdays on social media, something that has traditionally been a hallmark of the close-knit family.

Despite the absence, Sir David appeared to extend an olive branch in a heartfelt Father’s Day message on Instagram, sharing a series of family photos and writing: “I will always be here for you no matter what.”

Brooklyn, however, did not publicly acknowledge the post.

While the Beckhams have yet to comment publicly on the speculation, reports suggest they’ve privately accepted that they are now estranged from Brooklyn, who married Nicola in a lavish ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2022.

Last week it was reported that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola purchased a £10.5 million mansion in Los Angeles.

The couple, who had been renting in the area, are said to have exchanged on the Hollywood property recently.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home features a cinema room, home gym, and an infinity pool.

According to reports, the decision to buy reflects Brooklyn’s long-term plans to remain in the US, where his wife’s family is based.

On Monday, Brooklyn marked five years since proposing to Nicola, calling it the “best decision” he’s ever made.

“It’s been 5 years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me xx best decision ever x I love you so much,” he wrote alongside an image of them.
