Broncos vs. Bears: 14 players inactive for Week 2

Denver Broncos cornerback Bryce Callahan needs at least another week before returning from a foot injury. Callahan was limited in practice this week but will be inactive for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears, the team announced Sunday afternoon.

With Callahan sidelined, Denver’s top cornerbacks are Chris Harris, Isaac Yiadom, De’Vante Bausby, Duke Dawson Jr. and Davontae Harris.

In addition to Callahan, the Broncos have also ruled out inside linebacker Todd Davis (calf), inside linebacker Joe Jones (triceps), offensive tackle Ja’Wuan James (knee), fullback Andy Janovich, wide receiver Juwann Winfree and defensive lineman Mike Purcell.

Alexander Johnson will likely fill in for Jones on special teams and Corey Nelson is expected to start in the place of Davis on defense. Elijah Wilkinson is set to start at right tackle and tight end/fullback Andrew Beck will fill in for Janovich against Chicago.

The Bears’ list of inactive players can be seen below:

Sunday’s game will begin at 2:25 p.m. MT (view the TV map here).
