Broncos land Clemson defender Isaiah Simmons in 2020 NFL mock draft

In his latest three-round 2020 NFL mock draft for Draft Wire, Luke Easterling has the Denver Broncos selecting Clemson linebacker/safety Isaiah Simmons in the first round.

Simmons (6-4, 225 pounds) totaled 88 tackles — including nine tackles for losses — two sacks and one interception returned for a touchdown in 2018. He could instantly help Denver’s defense either as an inside linebacker or safety. Justin Simmons and Will Parks will both become free agents in 2020.

In the next two rounds of the mock draft, Draft Wire has the Broncos landing Florida State defensive lineman Marvin Wilson, Ohio State offensive lineman Jonah Jackson and Oklahoma State wide receiver Tylan Wallace.

With Shelby Harris and Derek Wolfe both scheduled to become free agents in March, drafting a player like Wilson would be a smart move. Denver could also use help on the offensive line and with Emmanuel Sanders headed for free agency, wide receiver will be a position of need as well.

The Broncos’ roster might be headed for a big overhaul next spring.
