Broncos cut former 3rd-round pick Brendan Langley

The Denver Broncos have cut wide receiver Brendan Langley, KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis first reported Friday. The news has since been confirmed by multiple media outlets.

Langley (6-0, 199 pounds) was selected by the Broncos as a cornerback in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft out of Lamar. He failed to live up to his draft status as a rookie, dressing for just 11 games and playing on special teams.

Langley spent most of last season on the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster for the final five games of the season. He is yet to record a tackle or interception in a regular-season game.

Langley attempted to convert from cornerback to wide receiver this offseason in an effort to improve his chances of making the team. He didn’t show much in preseason, catching just two passes for 14 yards.

Denver has until Saturday afternoon to submit a 53-man roster. We’re tracking all of the team’s moves here.
