Broncos coach Vic Fangio shoots down rumor about Brendan Langley

Last weekend, Ron Clements of Home Run on Wheels reported that Broncos cornerback Brendan Langley would transition to wide receiver in 2019 (Langley spent some time at WR in high school and college).

Speaking at the NFL combine last week, coach Vic Fangio shot down that rumor, saying a position change for Langley was unknown to him.

If Langley truly was changing positions, his coach would probably know about it. So fans should probably expect Langley to remain a cornerback.

Langley (6-0, 199 pounds) was selected by Denver in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft out of Lamar. He hasn’t lived up to his draft status, dressing for just 16 games over the last two years. Langley owns six career tackles and is yet to record an interception as a pro.

Langley spent most of last season on the practice squad, dressing for just five games. If he doesn’t show improvement this summer, Langley may be in danger of not making the team’s 53-man roster.
