Britney Spears pregnant: Paris Hilton leads celebrity reactions as they rush to congratulate singer

Britney Spears’ celebrity friends rushed to congratulate her over her pregnancy news.

The singer revealed on Instagram she is expecting a baby with her fiancé Sam Asghari.

Her long-time friend Paris Hilton led the celebrities sharing their congratulations.

The hotel heiress wrote: “Congratulations sis!! I’m so excited for you!! Love you!!!”

Deciding there were no actual words, Real Housewives presenter Andy Cohen sent a string of clapping and love heart emojis instead.

Meanwhile, singer Iggy Azalea got in on the celebrations with an emoji wearing a party hat.

Jersey Shore’s Jenni Farley, aka JWoww, and singer-songwriter Chloe Bailey also both sent their “congratulations”.

Her pregnancy comes 15 years after the birth of her second son.

She is already mum to sons Sean Preston, 14, and Jayden James, 15, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

In her announcement post, Spears shared she had suffered with perinatal depression during her previous pregnancies.

She wrote: “When I was pregnant I had perinatal depression … I have to say it is absolutely horrible.

“Women didn’t talk about it back then … some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her

“… But now women talk about it everyday … Thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret.”

Brooklyn Nine Nine Nine star Stephanie Beatriz responded: “You got this. Talking about how tough pregnancy has become the norm and there are so many helpful podcasts too!

“Excited for you to be able to experience this pregnancy YOUR way.”

This will be Iranian-born model Asghari’s first child.

He was clearly over the moon at the prospect of becoming a dad.

Alongside a picture of a family of lions, he wrote: “Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect.

“Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and I don’t take lightly. It is the most important job I will ever do.”

Spears’ ex Federline also shared a statement about the news through his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan.

Speaking on NBC News over the phone, Mr Kaplan said: “Kevin is aware of Britney’s Instagram post.

“He wishes her the best for a happy, healthy pregnancy and congratulates her and Sam Asghari as they plan for the excitement of parenthood together.”
