Police in Pattaya have arrested two men, a Thai and a British national, who allegedly posted stickers in public places advertising sex-enhancement products available on their website.
They were arrested during a police sting late on Tuesday night. Undercover police ordered two bottles of a sex stimulant priced at 750 baht each from the pair, identified only as Soonthorn, 40, and Thompson, 64.
The operation followed complaints about many stickers attached to power poles and walls in public places promoting sex enhancement products available on their "Pattaya Poppers" website.
A search of the men's rented house in Bang Lamung district found 180 bottles of a leather-cleaning product believed to have sexual stimulation effects and commonly known as "poppers", 36 packs of sexual stimulation drugs, condoms, 35 sets of drug paraphernalia and 11 grammes of illicit drugs.
According to police, the suspects admitted buying the products from an overseas supplier and said most of their clients were foreigners. They said they started posting promotional stickers in public places six months ago after sales dropped off.
The two men were being held in police custody. The investigation was continuing.
